Cinnamon is a somewhat common or uncommon mutation that was first developed in Australia. Males and females are slightly paler than wild-types, with the wings and flight feathers being brown and the males having their typical red rump. As typical of Cinnamons, the eyes of hatchlings are temporarily reddish.
Although Cinnamon is difficult to distinguish from Pallid, the variety has a slightly darker body color and browner flight feathers by comparison.
