One of the most common hybrids between lories and lorikeets, Black-capped Lory x Rainbow Lorikeet crosses are typically greenish with a mixed violet and red head, a red chest and underwings, green thighs, and a yellow underside to many of the grayish primary flight feathers. The tails of these birds lack a sharp tip and have a medium length. The bill is orange.
