Gray-green Jenday Conures are interesting birds with dark army-green wing and tail feathers alongside the species’ typical yellows, reds, and oranges. The flight feathers, tail tip, bill, and feet are dark gray to black. However, rather than emerging in Jendays, the gene was transferred to the species through hybridization with Sun Conures. Breeders will continue to pair Gray-greens with normal Jendays to reduce visual signs of hybridization, though they will never be entirely pure.
