Currently thought to be Pallid, the pictured color mutation results in significant melanin reduction across the entire body. The majority of the body’s feathers are a light yellow-green, the mask is yellow, the crown is pale blue, the flight feathers are brownish-gray, and small areas of reddish coloring can be found on the wings and tail. The bill and feet are a dirty shade of brownish-gray while the eyes, reddish in young birds, are brown in adults.
Though visually similar to Cinnamon, Pallid Blue-fronted Amazons appeared independently and have less visible melanin by comparison. They have no hybrid ancestry. As of 2026, French breeder Jean-Louis Texier is working to develop the variety alongside rare mutations like Opaline and Turquoise.
