Bronze Fallow is a rare mutation in Maroon-bellied Conures that only slightly lightens the bird’s plumage, skin, and bill color, being most noticeable around the nape and collar. Light green plumage paints most of the body, with maroon and pink serving as accents on the crown, ears, belly, and parts of the tail. The eyes are dark red – a unique trait of Bronze Fallow among fallow Maroon-bellies – while the bill and feet are horn-colored. The flight feathers are a dull gray-blue.
Though some keepers consider Bronze Fallow and Dun Fallow to be the same mutation, subtle differences in plumage and eye color separate them from one another. However, the average breeder may not be able to easily differentiate the two.
