Lutino Sun Conures are bright yellow birds with orange plumage on the face and belly, white flight feathers, and pink color on the bill and toes. The pupils are deep red while the rest of the eye is pinkish-gray. Though similar to Lutino Jenday Conures, Lutino Suns have comparatively less red-orange color on the mask, belly, and rump.
Lutino Sun Conures were first discovered in the United States, but breeders around the world are attempting to create their own strain by hybridizing the species with Lutino Dusky Conures – a more common variety. These hybrids are known to be fertile.
