Cinnamon Patagonian Conures are light bronze with areas of brighter reds and yellows across the thighs, vent, and rump. The crown, flight feathers, and tail feathers are brown, the bill is grayish-brown, and the feet are pink. As in all Cinnamons, the eyes are temporarily plum-colored in nestlings.
The very first Cinnamon, a female that was imported from Argentina to Europe, passed away in 2023. While a few of her non-visual offspring are still alive, a lack of breeding success in the last few years caused many to believe that the variety had become functionally extinct. Luckily, at least one visual Cinnamon has recently been produced in Europe. Presumably, the variety was first discovered when the original hen hatched in the late 1990s.
